What a busy day at Lugar the Baixo Pond on the 3rd of November. Many migrating birds paasing by to rest and feed. They were:
2 Red-knobbed Coots (Fulica cristata) - record not confirmed
2 Cattle Egrets (Bubulcus ibis)
7 Little Egrets (Egreta garzeta)
At least 27 Turnstones (Arenaria interpres)
16 Coots (Fulica atra)
Seawatching:
6 Great Shearwaters (Puffinus gravis) flying at sea
1 Spotted Sandpiper (Actitis macularia)
1 Dunlin (Calidris alpina)
1 Dunlin (Calidris alpina)
1 Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus scirpaceus)
1 Female Teal (Anas crecca)
