A very choppy but full pelagic expedition, 1st - 3rd June 2022

This pelagic started with strong westerly wind and rough ocean and ended up with very light wind but still quite choppy... As usual, Cory's shearwater Calonectris borealis, Bulwer's Petrel Bulweria bulwerii and Manx shearwater Puffinus puffinus puffinus were watched everyday.

3rd June 2022 - 9 knots NNE wind dropping down to 1 knot by 7:00pm. 0.6 meter waves from same direction

2nd June 2022 - NE wind between 7 and 10 knots which then dropped to zero and shifted to West up to 5 knots, dropping back to zero by the evening. Southwest swell up to 1.5 meters

Madeiran storm petrel Oceanodroma castro - a single bird that fed on the chum for about 10 minutes

1st June 2022 - WNW wind up to 17 knots, 3 meter swell with 1 meter waves
