27th of August 2006 - Red Knot at Lugar de Baixo

On the 27th of August 2006 there was an adult, summer plumage Red Knot (Calidris canutus) resting at Lugar de Baixo pond, in Madeira Island. This species is a vagrant in Madeira, though it is not rare to see it around here and in Funchal harbour.
