Birdwatching Festival in Machico river

Machico river, in Madeira Island, is helding a festival of migrating birds with some very rare visitors to Madeira... Have a look at what Hugo & Catarina observed today, on the 1st of October 2010, there:
Semipalmated Sandpiper Calidris pusilla - first seen on the 30th September by Alex McKechnie. This is the 2nd record for Madeira with the first on being 22 years ago where 2 birds were observed in Funchal.
