Just a short note to say thanks for the trip on Friday - I had a good afternoon and particularly enjoyed the flock of Plain Swift.
On Saturday morning I went to look for the strange gull in Funchal harbour and it turned out to be a Laughing Gull. In fact, there were 2 adult birds on the wharf near to the Portuguese naval ship (Joao Coutilheiro I think). I had excellent views of them as they were very tame and were sitting on the edge of the wharf in front of a café!!"
