Catarina Fagundes and Hugo Romano (Madeira Wind Birds)
At 13h40 a Whimbrel (Numenius phaepus) was seen flying along the sea shore in Avenida do Mar, Funchal. It was easily identified by its bent bill, long white 'V' on rump and by its "tititititititi" sound.
