More birds arriving for Christmas in Madeira

'A Festa' as Madeira people call to Christmas and New Years festivities is attracting many visitors to Madeira Nature... This sunday, the 9th of December 2007, a Sandwich tern has just arrived to spend this Christmas season together with a pair of Roseate Terns and some Black-headed Gulls in Funchal harbour, just where all entertainment is!

As for Lugar de Baixo pond one can still observe a Scaup, a Sanderling, a Ringed Plover, a Dunlin, a Curlew Sandpiper, a Greenshank, a Bar-tailed Godwit, some Coots and many Turnstones.
