One more migration season just started

During our full-day birdwatching tour on the 27th of August 2007, while seawatching in Porto Moniz for half an hour, we have observed a few Cory's Sheartwers, 10 Manx Shearwaters, some Bulwer's Petrels, 2 Common terns and a flock of about 20 Whimbrels flying on a "V" shape. Now that migration season started we hope to have some surprising visitants coming accidentally to Madeira Island and enjoying its wonderful nature.

On the other hand, Zino's petrels season is now closed until April 2008...
