Migration season is starting and for Madeira Islands that is always a surprising season as we never know what we are going to get... For now there is already two good records from Madeira Wind Birds customers:

30th July 2008 - Peter Cartwright (UK) kindly sent us his bird records from
Porto Santo Island

Ferry from Funchal to Porto Santo
1 Grey Phalarope - "bird appeared to be in winter plumage, so presumably a first summer bird"
This will be the second record for this species in Madeira! First record was also seen at sea in October 1999.

Tanque - The tanque had dried out so no birds of note in it.
3 Alpine Swifts
