Seabirds observed on the Zino's Pelagic Expedition, 2nd to 4th of June 2015

This pelagic was marked by the irregular, choppy sea who made some of the participants seasick... But even though they have seen all the seabird species aimed! As usual, Cory's shearwater Calonectris borealis and Bulwer's petrel Bulweria bulwerii were seen everyday.

2nd June 2015 - North wind was blowing lightly up to 12 knots but the sea was very rough with the swell and waves in divergent directions...

3rd June 2015 - Moderate Northeast breeze up to 17 knots with northeast waves up to 1 meter
2 Fea's petrel Pterodroma feae/deserta - 1 on the way to the chum and 1 on the chum
>20 Madeiran Storm Petrel Oceanodroma castro
5 (at least) White-faced Storm Petrel Pelagodroma marina hypoleuca - 3 at the same time on the chum
2 Manx shearwater Puffinus puffinus puffinus
4 Yellow-legged Gull Larus michahellis
