Borned in Madeira she early took contact with nature through Scouts, but later she has chosen the sea as part of her life, participating in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games in windsurfing.

Her passion by birds came later with some of her seatrips, where seabirds are nice companions.

Catarina studied Tourism Planning and Management and is the manager of Madeira Wind Birds where she collaborates as a guide and as a sailor in our pelagic trips, assuring safety onboard.
