Vic & Nicola - Half-day birdwatching tour

Wednesday, 10th October 2007

"Maderia Wind Birds have much to offer British bird watchers, for you have a number of species which either cannot be seen from britain or which are rare to see from Britain. Madeira is a beautiful island. Thank you to helping us to see some of its natural beauty."

Mike Allen - Full-day Bird and Nature watching

Saturday, 22nd September 2007

"Just got back from our Madeira holiday and wanted to say how much we
enjoyed the birdwatching day on Saturday. The Trocaz pigeon on road was
a real bonus but we enjoyed all of it and your enthusiasm and knowledge
made it a very special day. I never expected to be so excited by an
unusal slug/snail or a large green grasshopper!"

Pat & Paul Gaffan - week holiday with Madeira Wind Birds tours and arrangements

From the 9th to the 16th of June 2007

(...) "We arranged all our requirements with a very fine ground agent, Madeira Wind Birds. Nothing is too much trouble for these young people, they go out of their way to show and educate you to their wonderful island home. Catarina Fagundes and Hugo Romano are excellent guides with inexhaustible knowledge and enthusiasm so we took several excursions with them in order to explore the island and its flora and fauna.

(...) Madeira is a fine birding destination with three endemics and several other species of global importance. The weather is good all year round, the food and accommodation are excellent and most importantly the islanders are very hospitable.
Madeira Wind Birds have built a reputation on skill, excellence and friendliness helping all standards of birder to see what they want to see."

Gwen Harris - Half-day Nature tour

On Friday, June 22, 2007

"Thank you to Hugo Romano for the personal half-day nature tour. We
went into the Laurel Forest, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage and had
a marvelous walk along one of the levadas. Hugo pointed out the
plants and trees and called the birds. And the view from the summit
was breathtaking. This was an excellent tour that provided me a much
greater sense of what is truly beautiful about Madeira. I recommend
it to novice or expert, light walker or regular hiker - Madeira Birds
will adapt the tour to best suit the visitor".

Alastair and Lynne Cameron - Full-day Madeira Nature tour

Saturday, 10th March 2007

"A very big thank you to Hugo and Norbeto for a wonderful day on Saturday. There were several firsts for us, including the firecrest, rock sparrow, lesser yellowlegs and cattle egret at Lugar de Baixo. Nor would we have known that the two sandpipers were different species."

Anthea Reynolds (UK) - Full-day Nature tour

On the 11th of November 2006

"Just a note to say thank you for a good day out last week. We had a very interesting day, and learnt a lot about the island and its wildlife. I will keep your details so if a friend is coming to Madeira on holiday, we can recommend you. On the day after our trip out with you, there was a coach trip leaving our hotel – but there were so many people, they used two coaches. It was so much nicer to be on our own, and so much quieter and more relaxed, and I am sure we saw very much more. Many thanks to you."
